From February 28 to March 3, more than 670 Special Olympics athletes from across Canada will gather in St. Albert, Alberta for the 2012 Special Olympics Canada Winter Games. These hometown heroes are ready to shine in Alberta in their undeniable quest for gold. We invite you to join us for this incredible journey.

Draft an Athlete is a program singularly designed to support these athletes. Become a Draft an Athlete partner to receive a host of benefits with none greater than this: offering an individual with an intellectual disability the ultimate opportunity to what he or she aspires to be - a true champion!

Through your generous support you will receive the following over the next several months:

• • Picture and bio of your athlete photo plaque featuring your athlete
  • Participation in ongoing communication regarding your athlete's training and preparation
  • Personal message from your athlete
  • Recognition on the 2012 Winter Games website and dedicated, Games-Related correspondence
  • Memento of the2012 Winter Games
  • Charitable tax receipt for a portion of your donation (if required)
  • Support their quest for gold and help create memories of a lifetime.
